Lapcom -RX-100-
A compact data acquisition system for all motorsports. Monitors, records and prints lap times and rpm.
Control unit & Display "LAPCOM" is a high quality computerized automatic timing system with a transmitter and an optical sensor. LAPCOM records such data as lap times, best lap time, engine rpm, etc, to help you get the most from your machine. A small display mounted on the steering wheel shows the latest lap time and current rpm to give the driver quick feedback on his/her driving.

LAPCOM consists of a control unit, a display, a pulse lead cable, and an optical sensor/magnetic sensor. An optional transmitter is available. The stored data can be printed using an optional printer.

LAPCOM's Main Features

AUTOMATIC TIMING SYSTEM (Supports lap timing with both infrared signals and buried magnets)
As a car passes the transmitter, the optical sensor picks up an infrared signal from the transmitter. The latest lap time is then automatically updated and displayed to an accuracy of 1/100th of a second. One transmitter has 16 selectable channels and is capable of sending infrared signals to any number of cars.

By changing sensors, the Lapcom RX-100 supports buried magnets in the course. It is possible to choose the optical sensor or the magnetic sensor as the standard system component.

* When a single lap time exceeds 9:59.99, timing is automatically switched off.

ENGINE RPM MONITORING
Current rpm is displayed by clipping a pulse lead onto an ignition lead in 2/4 stroke engines with 1-12 cylinders.

200 LAP TIME MEMORY
Stores lap times up to 200 lapsfor later analysis.


MAXIMUM & MINIMUM RPM MEMORY
Stores maximum and minimum rpm for each lap.



BEST LAP & MAX RPM SEARCH
Searches for the best lap time and maximum rpm from all the lap data.


PRINTING
All the stored data in the control unit can be printed by plugging into an optional printer.

ENGINE RUNNING TIME DISPLAY
Displays the total number of hours a machine's engine has been run by calculating the Lapcom's cumulative rpm.


INTERNAL RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
The control unit is capable of a maximum of about 12 hours continuous running from a 5-hour charge.
